H. Skjalm P. was opened, as a retail store, in the historic surroundings of Nikolaj Plads in 1953 by Hagbarth Skjalm Petersen and his wife Lisbeth Westergaard. Over the years we have developed into a house of designhouse producing our own brand and helping customers to produce specialized items for their small business, hotels, restaurants etc. we have an open showroom, and we can't wait to welcome you!
Our collection takes starting point in the original Danish design philosophy of simplicity... but always designed in high quality materials; brass, glass, ceramic as well as 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. Our customers come from all corners of business and from all over the world. And we always pride our self in designing products of high quality at reasonable prices. Design and the development of new products is always made as a close collaboration with our customers using our experience and know how. Our tea towels is made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, a certification that covers the entire production process from the use of organic fibres and textile processing and manufacturing up to licensing and labelling all the kitchen towels is part of the 'Tomorrow Matters Collection'.

Come take a close look at our Vintage Coal cutlery. This cutlery is made in black laquered metal and has a very strong double coating which can endure almost anything. This autumn we have added a fish fork and knife, a steak knife and a sauce spoon to the series.
